This project involved the thoughtful reworking of a classic Californian Bungalow through a carefully considered extension and a series of precise internal interventions. The design introduced new additions that enhances spatial flow and establishes stronger connections between indoor and outdoor entertaining areas.

Arched openings along the southern and western façades create layered perspectives and provide direct access to the south garden and pool, drawing natural light deep into the living areas. Internally, the layout was reconfigured to accommodate a generous new master suite with walk-in robe and ensuite, while the first floor was updated with a refurbished bathroom and improved storage solutions.

The full-height joinery in the entertaining space references the ceiling detailing to achieve a clean, unified aesthetic, reflective of the project's broader design intent. Working closely with Studio C+E, Arlo delivered a refined and functional family home that respects the character of the original structure while bringing it into a new era of contemporary living.
